I know a lot of you have been asking what the image sensor is in the new Phantom 4. Well I had a little crash on the weekend and I've been tearing down the camera to try and trace the issue. I cannot find any branding on the sensor but though maybe someone else might recognise it.

Here is a picture of Hero4 black image sensor, supposedly the Sony IMX377, but i cant find reliable info on it ATM.

whatever it is, it looks 100% identical to me.

I agree it looks pretty close to the same thing.

I have a huge favor to ask.  Could you please re-photo the front side with a metric ruler in the image and shot as close as perpendicular to the image capture plane as possible?

I'd greatly appreciate it!

Sorry mate, i didn't see this reply in time! I have repaired it and put it all back together. Don't really want to tear it down again incase break the actual sensor.
