[size=14.6667px]First, thanks to everyone for your concern.[size=14.6667px]Second, sorry it took so long to get back to you guys with the final out come.
[size=14.6667px]For anyone who forgot what happen see picture below. (broken Ipad)
[size=14.6667px]
[size=14.6667px]My uncle is a machinist and he said because of the small amount of threads on the screws
[size=14.6667px]and my constant tightening of those screws to hold the tablet steady the threads stripped out of the screws.
[size=14.6667px]
[size=14.6667px]I showed him the replacement stability bracket I ordered and he said that would fix the problem.
[size=14.6667px]The main screw has more threads and the wide foot would make it more stable.
[size=14.6667px]The stability bracket I'am talking about is the one at the bottom of the page.[size=14.6667px]Mine came from China and took 9 weeks to get [size=14.6667px]
[size=14.6667px]
You can get them now here in the states [size=14.6667px]It comes from FAA Drone Decals .com

Thanks for the support you guys are great!

Was this the one that you banged the iPad on the door frame ?
I'm sorry that happened, glad you got a metal holder.
On P3P holder, I torqued down the knurled screw and it never came loose with my iPad Air for close to a year.

Hey Ken

Banged is a little harsh...it was more like a bump...But yes that was me.
And I take full blame for over tightening the screws too many times.
But the wobble was driving me nuts...if I had gotten the stability bracket before this happen we wouldn't be talking right now

I love the DJI Phathoms
I also like that you guys allow these posts, some forums would ban them as bad PR.
It shows the confidence you have in your product.

I still recommend folks get that stability bracket for the larger tablets...just to be safe

I would not trust anything you screw back into the remote controller. Why? I would not trust the threads on the threaded nut insert if you damaged the screw threads. There was only about 60% engagement when undamaged.  The new mount will help but damaged threads will compromise it. I use a similar aluminum bracket, but never had thread issues. Food for thought. Nice bracket.

This was the first thing I bought for my P3P. I read reported that the factory bracket was okay for phones but wobbled like crazy on larger tablets. I even posted a few photos here awhile back. Anyhow, I put my iPad Air 2 on with the factory bracket just out of curiosity and it wobbled like crazy. I then switched the brackets out to the aluminum unit and it was rock solid. Best $10 I spent.

Sorry if I'am being a jerk here but some folks are saying that any metal bracket
is better then the original plastic one, as someone that found out the hard way that is NOT true.

Look at the comparison below and you can see the replacement Stability Bracket is the best way to go!
Why buy a metal version with the same bad main bolt design(tiny threads).

I stand by the Stability bracket sold by FAA Drone Decals
You don't have to by from them you can also order from China

Hey Chris,

I didn't realize there was such a difference between brackets... what you posted makes a lot on since
.
The Stability Bracket with the foot really makes a difference ,
why didn't they thread the bolt  all the way down like it is on the replacement.
Anyone can see that is a much better design...very strong.

Chris I agree the Stability Bracket from faadronedecals.com is the way to go!
Kind of a no brainier

Thanks for the post

Hey all you P4 owners,
I was on FAA Drone Decals web site
now they have brackets that work with the P4 and Inspires now...with the same wide foot as the one on the P3 A/P.
