Have you tested the horizon line when flying? Mine is off as well, but only when im hovering. When i start to fly, it straightens out immediately, everytime. Test it out next time you fly. There still should be a fix for the horizon line issue when hovering though on the next FW update.

You may be in FPV gimbal mode. go to gimbal settings and change to FOLLOW mode.

I don't ever think that your going to get perfection out of lower end models like the phantom line of drones, everyone thinks these are top of the line but there just mass produced quads. Don't get me wrong there nice for the price but some pro quads cost over 10 grand.

You can try to calibrate the IMU and gimbal if your tilted horizontal issue is not so obvious.

It is not just an inconvenience for people.  It is the craft not operating like it should to accomplish it's intended mission and reason for being purchased.

This is defective product until this is solved.  It should not have been released with this flaw.  But this is not the first time DJI has done that!

If this can not be fixed in FW, many many P4's will be returned for warranty. I really hope DJI kan fix this in FW. Please aslo look at this post (gimbal issue): Gimbal not level after calibration. Return P4 or wait for new FW?

I just did a complete recalibration of all sensors (IMU,Collition Cameras and Gimbal) and now the yawing action seems to stay level almost perfectly.

Hi Domenico,

Mine has exactly the same problem as you described in the video (mine has a -0.8 row bias). Glad to see that DJI is working on it. Initially I thought this was just on my drone and almost returned it. Hope they will fix it soon.

You might want to try the cold IMU calibration. I know this is an older video but the concept is the same for the P3 or P4. I did the cold IMU calibration on my P3P and did the Indy car start up procedure and my P3P works perfectly now. By the way, I put my Inspire 1 and the P3P in the refiguator for 30 mins to get it cold! No problems at all with this method!

I just received my new P4 and will be doing the same thing once all of the firmware updates are finished.

Helps with the resetting process. I lowers the baseline temperature of the IMU and shortens the warm up time. I have had good luck using this trick on my Inspire 1, P3 and now P4

20-30 minutes in the refrigerator and let it set for about 5 minutes. start up the remote and Go App, go to the IMU page on the App, then power up the remote and Phantom. Start the calibration right away after starting up the Phantom

I guess I am one of the lucky ones.  Although my P3P would sometimes be a little off level, I really haven't seen that with my P4.  gimbal is nice and level for me.  I've never even calibrated the gimbal.  It has never needed it.

But why is DJI selling this product with these kind of defects and when does DJI estimate a fix? days months years can you indicate.
As in many posts Gimbal calibration fails at 72% and is always tilted we cannot use this inept footage.
Not for $1400.

Gimbal calibration will fail in low light and if its in the air.. it needs to be on a flat surface with alot of light i.e outside (but not flying)

I am sorry to say that the only fix is  to get a replacment. I got mine replaced with a newer version and it is much better.

I still get a tilted horizon. I may just go swap it out to see. I just don't wanna do that I feel bad swapping stuff out.

Sorry that did not help your situation Not sure this is a FW problem..   It is a bummer and sometimes hardware just fails to work correctly.  

Hope you get this sorted out.
