Took the P4 on its maiden flight today.  Performed the basic compass and IMU calibrations before taking off.  I flew about 700ft and started to get a mixture of pixels, freezing, and huge multicolored lines and blotches during recording..  Any suggestions, tips, or ideas?

are you talking about pixelation on your screen while flying, or on the recording that comes off the SD card?

It's both on board in my screen while flight and on the SD card

I don't think it's possible to get any kind of pixelation on SD card. You probably was issuing some lags of the lightbridge.  Set the antennas according to Paladin's video and you video link must get normal again.

Yes, I am also having trouble with it, there is another thread concerning this issue but they have not found much of an answer other than a few P4s have faulty cameras.

The pixelation was coming from the SD card and light bridge. My antennas were perfectly aimed at the Phantom and it was only 30m away 25m height.

I once seen the screen flicker green on someones video when starting up the phantom. Is that normal?

I wouldn't mind if it was upon start up during colder weather but my problem happened in southern California after 15 minutes of flight

you have to upload it to somewhere and post the link.   youtube works as well.   upload it and post the link.   video from the sd card mainly.   you can get distortion from the lightbridge from interference  doesn't matter what happened your SD recorded videos should have no problem.   if the memory card videos have a problem you may have a defective camera or memory card that is too slow.

also try recording in 1080 and see how that video comes out

Here's link to the video uploaded directly from the SD card.  The footage looks the same from the Lightbridge Go app. What would cause this to happen? You can see in the video that I brought it back to check the footage on the SD after noticing it on Lightbridge..  After I noticed it on the card, I placed the P4 on the ground and did another recoding which you will see towards the end of the video.  I was standing next to it and it still did it.  Please advise.

I had the same issue on my screen at first but stopped happening after a while. Have you installed the hdmi module?

That looks to be a genuine camera problem, you should return it to DJI to be repaired.

Is that video off the Sd card? If that is from your SD card you have a issue with the camera with out a doubt!   

Might be an issue with the card speed or w fault in the sd card but if that is what you are seeing on your display stream and what's on the sd the camera is faulty.

Yup..  Off of the SD card..  I'm using a great SD card..  

What would cause it to pixelate on Light bridge if it's only a few feet away also?

To be honest, I don't know what that is. I got the P4 last Friday and this happened on my first flight and every flight since..

Hi I have just been doing my first flights with a new PH4, have found the same problem, lots of grey lines strips of dots and pixelations, exactly the same on SD card recordings even with TX within feet of ph4, this problem persists!, any ideas , can't see how it can be a radio link issue!

I got the same issue...  And i pressed the black gimbal cable...and i cant see the issue now...

I think I know what's happening, my android tablet is not quick enough , so pixelations  appear
both on radio link and when SD card plugged in to tablet , I ran SD card on separate PC and the high res is fine, just need loads of PC power for this amount of res!!      No just tried again, the pixel break ups are at exactly the same times on the SD card. So I must be wrong !!, looks like camera fault then???

Yeah... that looks abnormal. Unfortunately you will  have to get in touch with your local DJI repair center and get your thing fixed.

I have now convinced myself that my problem is that my android tablet running KitKat is just not quick enough even when playing back directly from SD card, I  am borrowing a new iPad and will try that ,

Watch DJI Paladin's video link of proper antenna use that he posted above. The antennas are not supposed to be pointing at the aircraft.

Its happening to me ... but OK on SD card.

Looks like my Tab S2 is slow for the bitrate.. or the RC is slow this time.

I started using the orig SD Card (Panasonic) and its not happening now.

Here's my examples of this happening.

Happens via both DJI Go and Litchi.  

No issues with card recording, but playback to device is annoying when it does this.  Tried changing channels and it still persists.
