Well, I did the absolute dreaded a couple days ago. I went out to fly over some water (which I have done a lot of - very comfortable with it) and apparently my bird decided to dip down a little too far. Was this a DJI error or pilot error? I'm guessing pilot error, but I am aware of all the VPS issues. I almost cried a little, almost went swimming (way too cold, in Wisconsin), and my heart absolutely sank.

On the flip side, I found a real good deal for an inspire 1 which was in my sights for awhile anyway. I'm really enjoying the photo/videograhy so I'm not letting this deter me.

With that said, I have some P4 parts for sale and I'm looking to you guys to see if anyone would be interested or if I should put them up on eBay or somewhere else.
I have:

2 sets P4 propellors
1 battery charger
1 spare battery (maybe used for 5 flights)
1 controller (which I'm still debating on, might consider keeping if it connects to inspire 1)
1 brand new (literally just received it 10 minutes ago) backpack. The 329.99 backpack style from DJI - however - it is the knock off version.
1 styrofoam carrying case that the P4 comes with
The connection cables to connect P4 to your phone/tablet

Let me know what you guys think.

microcyb, I live in the Wisconsin Dells area, just a bit north of Madison. Everything is still available, I'm in no hurry to get rid of it, just figured I'd throw it out there for people if they were interested.

$200 for the shootin' match.

RC is way different for the inspire as it also utilizes 5.8 where the P series only uses 2.4... LMK what you would like for the package in a PM, most interested in the charger and RC

I could fish your bird out of the water if you were closer, but The Dells, about an 8 hour drive for me. {:2_35:}

Send it for warranty before you do anything. If it landed itself in the water, it's not your fault. So sorry for your loss. Please fight with dji before you give up

It sounds like he didn't recover the craft - so this battery didn't take a swim and should be OK.

How much do you want for the battery charger  and the spare battery please let me know

Backpack will easily fit the P4 with multiple batteries, extra props, controller, tablet, etc. - I'd like $100 for it, excluding shipping. I'd like to get at least $120 for the battery + battery charger, excluding shipping.

As for everything else, they're fairly cheap items so I could ship them out pretty easy. The controller I think I'll put up on eBay, those things go for a decent amount. I'm just trying to cover my own rear end with the finances, these things aren't cheap!

This is exactly why DJI should sell bind and fly copters.
