So, I downloaded the new firmware today and installed. I redownloaded the iOS app.

The app keeps looping from "Your app must be updated to the latest version". I downloaded. Same. I deleted from iPad and rebooted. Downloaded. Same.

Anyone offer ideas?


Now locked out from downloading again as I hit my limit.

Contacted support. They seem clueless and tell me to download the app.  Geez.


Resolved by waiting for DJI servers to update with 0.9.2.

I had the same problem. Drove me nuts - ended up deleting the app, downloading again and that worked for me.

Do let us know what DJI support says

I tried the delete, reboot, redownload method.  Still same. But now I am locked out of downloading again.

Same issue downloaded 3 x and was locked out of trying again.  Contacted support and support stated to use the SN on transmitter or gimbal.  I was able to download it again but version is still 0.9.1.  Support stated that new version is 0.9.2,  I am currently waiting for the answer from support on what to do next.  Will update when I find out.

I gave up on them. The person at support kept going in circles. I will just try later and hope to get a different chat support person.

Same problem here. Deleted, reinstalled...worked for 2 seconds...and back to "you must update".

Support says they are aware of it. They seem to think it may have something to do with their servers being down and to give it time.

Well, as I have work to do, I guess that's what I'll do.

Maybe we should rename the Inspire to DJI Patience1...

Just a question...   Are you guys using the iPads which are supported? My apology in advance I know you guys aren't stupid. It is just a question because I will be using and iPad mini2 and I don't want to have to deal with these issues I just wanna fly!

yes ipad air 2, worked fine until i had to update.

Same problem here.  Deleting the app helped as far as getting the firmware update installed, but shortly after, the "App version update" warning re-appeared.  
At that point I did NOT reinstall the app again (iPhone6+), but did a full (cold) reboot of iPhone, and at this stage (after at least 7 tests), the app is loading without an error.

As John suggests, a reset as opposed to a restart may actually be what's required. It seems to have worked for me.

To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

And the App is still showing version 0.9.1.

App should be released in 2-3 hours.

My text chat with CS told me to wait at least 2 hours, I have reached my limit of downloads as well.  Trying the other SN's didnt help. It is raining here today, so I'm not missing out on anything.

The Email I got from DJI said the new app is version 1.0.0.1, but the one I downloaded just now on iPad is 0.9.2.
is that right?

Yep, that's the most recent iOS version. I think 1.0.0.1. is the Android version.

Thanks, My original download of the update was done on the SD Card that was in the Camera. After I did the Bin Download I Formatted the Card to wipe out the Bin update file from the Card. I'll try it with that Card again with the new update.
I think you need a Cocktail or two after today

I finally got IOS app updated to 0.9.2.  If you are locked out because it states you have entered SN more than 3 times, try the SN on your controller or gimbal.  That is what I had to do to get it to update after to many attempts with the Inspire SN.  
Hopefully the SN counter resets on DJI servers after a few days so we can all update on the next new version.
