Hi,i have an problem.
Turn on phantom,than turn on remote,remote ask to upgrade firmware,i start upgrade it,after that,its succsesfully installed ask me to reboot remote,but phantom 4 was turned on.After i turned off remote,its not responsible even.And remote is hot a bit on the botom of it.So when i conect it to the phone via usb its see the remote but i cant even see in dji go app any info about remote and cant connect to the phantom 4.Led on the remote didnt work even after that upgrade even it was succesfully and asks me remove firmware on phone,so as i see i dont know how to downgrade it.So its still hit below led dont responde cant turn it on or off,i dont understand the status of the remote.Firmware of the phantom 4 ask me on the DJI Assit 2,but i still not upgrade it dont know wat to do.Any body help.

I'm sorry, it seems the remote is not working anymore. Have you contacted support for an exchange?
Include the link to your videos and they will start an RMA and get you taken care of.
If you provide me your email, I can have someone contact you to start the process.
When you get another remote, it will probably be on 1.5.8 again and just start the process again. In order for the complete system to work the RC firmware has to match the aircraft firmware. So either RC on 1.5.8 and aircraft on 1.7. Or RC on 1.6 and aircraft on 1.8.

here is my email widepro19@gmail.comIv been contacted the support they told ask me local service to check it if they can repair or changed,or send to the Europe or China to change,its an issue for me cuz im from Ukraine,and its expensive of time losing i cant use my drone,and money for shiping pay to that.So im waiting 4 days answer from local service than will ask again wat to do not any one knows it nobody had that problems before as i ask repairs or supports,so its an some new bug.So im disapointed.....

I think there is an issue with the RC since it is not showing any lights. I believe it would need to be sent in for repair.
If you know anyone with another P4 or P3 Pro or Advanced those remotes will also work after binding them to the aircraft. Binding is done through the app or manually.This is the P3, the P4 bind button is the LED next to the SD card slot.

I tryied to reset remote as support says press scroll presss video record and c1 c2 all pressed at the same time,and try to turn on or turn off,Not working even,Thats a new bug no one knows about it,and i catch this with this new firmware buging(((

The P4 remote is the same as the C model P3 remote except for some labeling.
Since you have no lights at all, the last resort before sending it in would be to try and reset the remote.
Press C1, C2, video, shutter, camera settings dial, then with all 5 of those pressed down power up the radio. If it works you will get a teal light.

Then do the button combination, then connect it to the device via USB cable, then get to the 1.5.8 RC download page by holding the graduation hat icon for 5-10 seconds, then get 1.5.8 on the RC, then power cycle the RC and you should see the RC 1.6 firmware update message, download and install 1.6, then you should be done.

But anyway its warranty case,cuz before i had P3 PRo and if aircraft firmware not higher than remote its saying an error even,and not get update it,like aircraft,so DJI may say it that is firmware bug to avoid such big problem with it.

its good guide but did u look out my videos? up   The remote doesnt event responde any color of,so led not working at all,and i tryied to relinked it,but its not even work,i mean remote.In DJI go app its only show remote is connected when via usb cable connected,but no responde and the battery of it is hot a bit,so i couldnt even relink remote when i tryid to that,options was Master and Slave remote type pressed it but light didnt respone,so unpossible reconnect it to P4

I've checked the videos and it is probably a hardware error. Have you followed Ken's advice to downgrade the firmware and then upgrade again? If you have done that, does the RC work well ?

Iv already gives 3 days ago remote on diagnostic in local DJI service,but i still not get wat button even press

Camera dial is the right dial which you can use it to adjust ISO/Shutter speed.

Given that this is a brand new unit that is not working, he should be able to exchange for a new one, not send it in for repair.

It all depends on what is wrong, since there's no LED's it may need a battery. If it's a bigger issue then they may just exchange it for another remote. No one knows until it gets into repair.

Hi,i recived info from Service in Ukraine,told me its motherboard dead,they cant fix it for free cuz they like resellers,they can only make repair change motherboard for 200$,so i told them its warranty anyway i dont even start fly with P4 since recived it from 21april,so they decide me to send China on warranty change and China DJI service may check it and resend me it i hope by EPXRESS POST post,cuz i cant wait so long,3 week on shiping checking and im losing 1 mounth to wait on it? cuz someone didnt check the motherboard and i recived deffective remote,wich dead after firmware....Any suggesstion? im very unsatisfied with such a toy for 1400$...Undestandt my feeling?

I am sorry about that. And yes warranty items are only done at the DJI repair facilities.
If you have a different remote in the meantime, any P3 Pro/Advanced or Inspire remote will work.

NO,i havent,i sold my P3 PRO and bought an P4 as marketing drone,but recived brouken remote and might waiting about mounth to recived it ,and always aks supports about it and make nervous of it.So as i see resolution only send back,and wait wait wait,i have an order of making wedding next mounth if i cant catch this DJI can recived P4 tottalt back for money returns,cuz im so unhappy with such a service.
