Hi all, i'm italian and i have a phantom 3 standard. I have a problem. I'm not able to reach more than 130m. I try to fly on a hill, with a strong signal (under 130m) and no interference. But all times i get 130m, i lost signal. I have the lastes firmware, all battery was fully charged, there were no interference and phantom have a 1week life. What can be my problem? I have to set some function to get more than 130m? I was flying with function mode, drone was in front of me and i set antenna first with 45° and then orizontal. But no one was good. Please some one can help me? I use drone for work and this limit is really a problem for me. Thank you

it is set on 500m max

If you are trying to fly straight up, this is always the most difficult angle to maintain signal.

im a phantom 3 standard owner , and i  was having that issue before ,  the range with the phantom 3 standard is really low ,  more when we are talking about altitude
so to fix it you can use a windsurf or a DBS range extender to get more range ,  thats the only solution that i found  ,  i already try everything , and believe me i already try all  and nothing works ,
now with the range extender I'm able to reach the 500m of altitude

ok but this have not to happen. Dji declair i can reach 500m, so i don't have to put anything on it to reach this altitude. Or product is not confirm to the description so.

I am not that familiar with the Standard but, I would asssume that there is a "Beginner" Mode. The mode is in the settings, not the P A F switch. Beginner Mode is the default from DJI and it limits the Height to 120 M and the range is limited as well. You will find it in your settings.

This maybe the same issue I am having and others.  The last few updates caused this and has not been resolved.  See the other thread on a firmware problem.  I am a newbie, too.  I have been building my skills and want to go farther and higher, but an getting low, and no signal warnings. It's a little scary, as I have read of lost drones after getting no signal alert.

yes, i know that, but i take off this mode from the app and i set my controller to function mode too. But still not work. I can believe that dji declare 500m, and i can reach 140m!!!It's less less then the half. That's not possible

The max is 500M. Did you set a new max? Did you hit enter before you closed the Keyboard?

How are you doing with this? The higher you go the better the signal. I assure that you are totally confused at this point. The only time direction has anything to do with it is the terrain that you are flying in horizontally. You are being limited by the parameters that you have set in your Phantom.

my max altitude is 500m, max distance is 500, beginner is set off and on my controller i have the function mode. My aircraft was (in my last flight) about 55m away from me and (after have done the last update to the phantom) i have reached 190m, more than before, but not enough...when i lost rc signal, i try to set different position to the antenna, but still the same problem
