I'm a big gadget geek, and I buy a lot of junk that I never ever use.  But I just found a daily usage for this dual flash drive microSD reader.  Now, there are a lot of different brands and types out, but this one set me back less than $8 from MicroCenter.  Basically, it allows you to pull your microSD from your bird, insert it into the reader, plug it up to your phone's charging port.  Most (I'd say ALL) phones that have a micro-USB charger should be able to pull up these files through some sort of a File Manager.   There are even USB-3 card readers out already too with those phones.  I take my card straight to my phone to view videos and photos after I shoot them.   
For the iPhone users, unfortunately, Apple phones are locked to where you cannot use the lightning card reader, UNLESS if your device is jailbroken.  But if you have an ipad, you should be able to get a microSD or SD to lightning adapter, and you can import your pictures.  Yeah, for you Apple users, it's somewhat of a PITA to do this.

used it a lot in my travels to watch movies on the plane on my iPad...when I had my iPhone, I had to jailbreak it for it to work...yeah, Apple pretty much locks everyone out...but, my adapter is an SD to lightning...works the same way, just need to put the microSD into the SD adapter:

Yes, I can confirm that now it works with the iPhone too (since iOS 9.2). I bought it specifically to transfer the shots (even DNGs) from my Phantom to the iPhone Pay attention that there is a new SD adapter that works faster with the new iPad Pro (USB 3).
