Hey guys. If we pilot with the ipad pro is the 4k video we shoot gonna be the same quality as it would be if we take sd card out and upload directly to ipad via a camera connector?

Im sure this is a trivial question but this is all new to me.

No.  The video capacity of the phone/tablet is not relevant.  ItThe drone is sending 1080P to the controller no matter what device you use.  So the SD card will have a 4K file while the footage you pull from your iPad will be 2K.

Actually, not even 2K as you call it. The stream sent to the RC unit and saved on your device is only 720p. It is only intended for you to be able to see what you are shooting. The real file is saved on the SD card in the aircraft, and to access that, you either remove the card from the aircraft, put it in an adapter and plug it into your compurer, or connect to the aircraft using a USB cable plugged into the gimbal assembly and download it.

Hello Crag, the videos that you see in your iPad are cache videos with 720P resolution. No matter which devices that you use, if you set the video recording resolution to 4K, the original videos which could be found in the cards are 4K resolution.
