Ok, I got my new X5 and OSMO Adaptor today.

Has anybody had issues with updating the firmware in that it will not update and will show as N/A as the firmware version. Firmware Version: v1.1.0.10.
This means that the X5 is not fully comptabile with the OSMO.

I went through to chat support and was lied to and basically told not to worry about it and I will post the whole transcript (About an hour long). At £1400 I think it is something to worry about.

But initially I want to see if anyone else is having this issue and is not able to upgrade to the leatest firmware. If you have managed to update the firmware this will also be good to know as I can then rule this out.

It could then be that I have been sold a faulty X5 / Adaptor. Both do function though and it is only the lack of the ability to update to the latest firmware that is the issue. This however means that the X5 is not fully compatable with the OSMO.

I also have the X3 and this updates with no issues at all.

I look forward to your replies / comments. I have also emailed EU support and will let you know the repsonse I get and outcome.

I received my X5 adapter on Thursday upgrade the firmware yesterday take about 20 min, did not get firmware version it show N/A but everything works fine, shot test footage all work perfectly. All functions within the Go app work correctly as well.

When updating can I ask if you just got the right green light flashing? On the X3 the Red light Flashes during an update but after a lot of tries, I seem to have a right flashing green light at present.

Also whats a key feature to look for to check that the update might have applied.

Just a note: It wasn't updating / didn't update.

On update the left light flashed red/green until it finished updating as described in the guide.

Try formatting your card and reloading firmware.

Ok, I reset everything and also formatted the card. I then download OSMO Pro Firmware v1.1.0.10 again and placed in the X5. Turned on the OSMO and after a few seconds had one green / yellow flash on the left hand side.

After just a steady green light on the right.

Turned off and took card out and there is a result file dated 31 Dec 2013 23:00. I have pasted this below. Any insight into this much appreciated.

Whats is confusing me is that it is mentioning  OSMO_FC550_FW_V01.01.00.11.bin as well as showing N/A as the current firmware.

It could well be that the X5 was at OSMO_FC550_FW_V01.01.00.11.bin on shipment and 10 is redundant?

Can somebody suggest an update to look for in the DJi GO app that only version 10 has?

Have you tried a different battery.Fully charged, it won't update otherwise.
Maybe there was some fault with the battery and Osmo didnt think it was fully charged.

According to the provided upgrade result .txt file, you've upgraded the Osmo Pro Firmware v1.1.0.10 successfully. The firmware version v1.1.0.10 should be displayed in DJI GO after the upgrade. Be sure to connect your mobile device to the Internet before connecting to the Osmo Pro’s Wi-Fi network so that the correct firmware version is displayed in DJI GO. After the upgrade, please remember to remove the .bin file or format your SD card for normal use.

I'm a little confused about what you said about the firmware displaying in the App, could you please post a shortcut here so that I can understand correctly?

If the battery is used for the first time, you're right, the battery needs to be fully charged to be activated.

I am in contact with Europe support who are perplexed as to why my results file shows OSMO_FC550_FW_V01.01.00.11.bin.

As you know you only have version 10 available.
The reason the firmware shows N/A is apparently according to EU support is because the DJI GO app does not know about 11.

My feeling is that I may have been sent / sold a refurbished / Testing product that had version 11 (not yet available) installed in a test lab.

I will post the results of my findings here.
I would add that if it turns out that I have been sold a used product as new for £1400 I will not be very happy. (Trading Standards).

Waiting for a full explanation as to why my X5 was on delivery on Version OSMO_FC550_FW_V01.01.00.11 that does not exisit publicly yet

Ok, I was told to show hidden files and send the System Log under MISC.

As you can see from the result below my X5 is at Version 11 in firmware. This is not available publicly but explains why my X5 would not go through the upgrade process because 10 is a lesser version.

So this means that my X5 was out of the box and in a test environment for a beta firmware. This is good in one way in that I have the latest firmware but how do I know that my X5 is not a refurbished product or for how long it has been under test. At £1400 you expect a brand new un-opened product. It seems that I was probably sold a used or test subject.

I will post my findings as soon as I hear back from DJI.

Ok, I purchased the X5 on the 3rd May. Opened a case about the above. In the support correspondence EU support agree that is is odd that i am on a version of Firmware that is not available.

I have had the X5 for under 6 days and they expect me to send off to repair. In what world to they live in

I'll be taking this up with trading standards as I am 99% sure they have sold me a used product. What they will do is roll back to version 10 and send it back to cover themselves.

After confirming with our engineers, I'd like to inform you that it's just a software issue. Your unit is brand new, it's just the firmware that happen to be something wrong. Please be noticed that every unit would pass through our full tests which may leave some test records inside the unit before the shipment, that's very normal.

I forgot to ask. Can you confirm why OSMO_FC550_FW_V01.01.00.11.bin was on the X5. As mentioned the X5 works with no issues other than showing N/A under firmware. I am just interested to know why.

The fix supplied works and fIves the issue. All that's needed now is for DJI to kick the EU support for being so useless.

Thanks for your further feedback about the good result! I am really happy for you to fix the problem.

Speaking of the v1.1.0.11, it's just a beta testing firmware which is still under development, so it's not compatible with the Osmo Pro at present. Our engineers would keep working on the firmware and improving the quality of the Osmo Pro.
