I originally posted this to the "Service" forum and had no replies and only 8 views.

I purchased a charger that plugs into the 12v volt powerpoint in my car  for my P4 and it doesnt work. My car has 4 different powerpoints and  none of them worked to charge the battery or the RC, with the key on or  off, there looks to be an indicator light in the corner of the charger  and it never came on nor did the lights on the battery or the RC. I  confirmed the powerpoints worked with my cell phone, laptop and iPad  mini. What next?

if all the plugs work and the car charger doesn't work i would say its a pretty safe bet the charge itself is bad.   think of it as a light bulb,  if other bulbs work in the socket, and this "bulb" doesn't work in any other socket, its bad!  

also many plugs have a fuse in them.  you may have a fuse in the from of the plug that unscrews and a small replaceable fuse inside.   may not be the case but its worth a look for giggles
