Hello all, I have a Phantom 3 Professional.  About a week ago, I tried updating my firmware to v1.8.0080.  After letting it run for over 45 min, and it never completing- either fail or succeed, I powered off the aircraft, thinking I would reload the .bin on the sd card, and try again.

After that, every time I power the P3P back on, I get steady LOUD beeping - D D D D....  And the controller doesn't connect to AC now. Well, I sometimes get camera feed, but no flight.

I have formatted sd (fat32) and reloaded firmware, and gone thru the cycle of trying to update the firmware a hundred times, even letting it run for hours on end, listening to the endless beeping! I've asked the Google Gods a thousand times, and tried everything I find.  I've even tried the trick of holding in the Link button while powering on!

All my connector cables are good and connected. (I am a computer, tablet and mobile phone repair tech by trade, so I trust my visual inspections).

Help me Obi-Wan Forums, you're my only hope!

Hello Anthony, the upgrading process normally takes 20-30 minutes.The noise of upgrade failure would stop in the process of re-upgrading. In your case, please format the sd card and extract the bin file to the card's root directory. Then upgrade the drone again and keep your eyes on the camera indicator.If it still fails, feel free to post the hidden upgrade log here.

Paladin, as I have stated, I have been formatting my sd card, extracting bin, etc and letting it run for hours... All the while, the light do blink green/red.

Same problem. Vey disappointing to use official downloads only to have a useless quad straight away. Can anyone sort this out?

Have you had any success in resolving your problems? I have updated my firmware but have no wireless connection from any of my devices. IOS x2 and 1 Android.
I recently updated the OS on my I devices to the latest version and haven't flown the Phantom since then. But as the Android doesn't work either I don't think that's the problem.
It seems as though the firmware is defective. Is there any way ypou know to downgrade to an earlier version that worked

I have not gotten the firmware to work on my "$1000 paperweight."  All I get is that constant incessant beeping. It's enough to make you bonkers!  And no, I've been all over the Googleverse, and have not found any solutions to my issue - the failed/corrupt update.

With your issue - I do know that after updating the aircraft firmware; you may need to go into settings and reconnect/pair the controller to the aircraft... Also, if the aircraft firmware has been updated, the controller needs updated as well.

Same Here but I get no light on my camera no red/green nothing at all , All was ok until the update ...... I have the red link light on used to link a different RC box I think.

And I do not get a log file I have turn on show hidden files but there is nothing there ....
Also I notice one moter geting warm I think the beeping is coming from the speed controllers or motors much like the flashing lights but beeping like the flashing lights..would do

I got it to boot up correctly but still had no camera or any control  green line across top of RC screen but said error as NO MC DATA ACCELEROMETER FAILED  fiddled with it some more and now back to the beep beep I am trying the firmware again to try to get it boot normally again..

Before upgrading I had camera working and everything now nothing I am now doubting this product Even a PC computer can be brought back up after the blue screen of hell ..  Basicly this is a computer with sensors and outputs

I just deleted the .bin and tried again and it beeped until it hit 55% after which it made the startup sound and it updated correctly.

do you ever get the feeling that you want to throw it against the wall The beeping is enough to drive one crazy I found if you turn the motor that is beeping you can quiet it down a lot

At $1000, the thought of throwing it against the wall is NOT an option, lol...

No, when I let it run, I shut it in my grandson's bedroom, which blocks out most the noise

Ok, I not see a "reply" button, as I use the iOS app. I've been using the "comment" box on the bottom of screen.

Why contact Europe center? I live in United States... I did email them a few days ago, haven't gotten a reply yet

What could be causing these issues with the MC and ESC?  It was all working properly prior to trying to update...  (I guess that teaches me NOT to update! Lol)

I'm just aggrivated, as there doesn't seem to be a way to restore or force load when something goes wrong, which from what I've read, happens a lot...
