I tried to search the post for the answer to my question, but nothing.

So.: I read from large travel distances of 2000 and more meters from the consol.

Mine is only able to go 500m and I get the message that the max. distance has been reached and the menue does not let me change this.

How to increase the travel distance?

Go into main controller menu and switch off 'enable max distance'. But be sure of what you are doing, loosing sight is one easy way to loose the P4 if not careful.

You can only enter up to 500 meters in 'Max Distance'.   If you want to go farther, you need to turn off the Max Distance feature.  Then you're open ended.

But at 500 meters, the craft is just a speck in the sky    Going farther out puts you in FPV territory.

Painting it red might help, but I find the white shell makes the craft easy to spot.

By switching off 'max distance' you are disabling the function that limits your aircraft to a pre-set distance up to 500m maximum. When this limitation is disabled (switched off) you can go as far as your battery/range will take you.

Once you go beyond a few hundred feet and certainly at 500m it wouldn't matter what colour it was, you'd struggle to see it.

Hello Fieldman, you can switch off the maximum flight distance. And please adjust MC parameters when the drone is powered on.
