does anyone want to go out on a limb and say that after this firmware update the P4 seems to be holding altitude better? it appears better to me today.

No... People still droping altutude when stopping..maybe dji waiting poeple to forget it..

Can you do a altitude test on YOUR P4 and please report back.

I have a P4 I had a slight problem with altitude drop I have tested with new firmware and it has changed , so I say good Job DJI well done and thanks for listening..

Are you using P4 with firmware 1.1.410 and DJI GO 2.8.3 ?

When you say 'changed' do you mean that your aircraft no longer drops vertically after comming to a sudden stop ?

I would like to think that the altitude drop is sorted but I flew a couple of days ago and saw at least one significant drop. As I was there to take advantage of the good weather for some photography I had no time to do further testing.

Yes using new firmware in sport, what I see is a slight rise when breaking of about 3 feet , and then a drop into position, I have tried it a couple of times in very windy conditions and this evening in much more benign conditions, mine has definitely improved..

You guys just need to ship me a P4 for research purposes.

I see the same..  A slight rise and then return to position.  I don't have a problem with drop.

I assume the latest P4 firmware corrected that?

I am still holding back upgrading to 2.8.3 app and the 1.1.4  
I may take some brave pills over the weekend since we will be under heavy storms
and upgrade the firmware <AND> the APP!!!!!
I assume it is fine to jump from 2.8.1 to 2.8.3?

Worked well for me, 2.8.2 was the baddie...

My Jury is still out on that one, I need to do some testing.

Yes, I definitely think it has fixed that problem
