Just got an email from DJI stating that the Inspire has a 35% discount. The 2.0 will most likely be announced soon, the same thing happened right after they dropped the price on the 3 series. I dont wanna hear anyone complain that they bought it and the new one came out a week later!!!

The most current update for the Phantom 3 Standard is 1.6 (im not sure what the other decimal is but there is only 1.6 version so if it's at 1.6 it is up to date). You dont have to update every time, a reminder will just pop up telling you to. However if something in the drone fails, and the drone is not running the latest firmware, it will not be covered under warranty

They actually dropped it a while ago. We wrote about it on 25 May and looking back we weren't the first so it's been more than a week now for sure

That said, agreed. Most likely a new Inspire announcement will come in the foreseeable future. Let's see what it brings. Any speculations? Obstacle avoidance? Better camera? Better flight time?

I'm guessing OP wanted to write "Inspire 2 Announcement likely coming soon"  but was so excited that the last part was left out to save time

Its usually typical for a company to put their current model on sale to make room for the new models. Car dealerships do it all the time, most will drop the price when they unveil the new product i.e apple..

I fully expect for DJI to announce the Inspire 2 by the end of summer early fall.

the little p3 is fast have to admit,
its still in a different world than my x5 pro but the kid loves it.I hope he does not challenge me to a race, he just might win
