Hey everyone, I am interested in hearing about other applications for the Inspire 1 aside from pro photo/video and hobby usage. Anyone on here using their quadcopters professionally in industries outside film and video ? PS: I searched and didn't find any threads that had a list of various uses.

I know some pilots have reached out to farmers to assess large crop fields.

Also some art taking real estate photos

It gets kind of Prickly in the USA with a special license needed for commercial use

As Donnie mentioned, there are pilots that use them for agricultural work. They also can be used for development/ construction work for surveying jobs. With surveying type work, people have used the X3/X5 as well as the thermal XT camera.

New FAA Drone rules announced. Will take effect in August. Opening doors for Commercial users.

I use my inspire 1 pro commercially such as home photography, construction sites, weddings and just about anything that comes my way,. I don't have any official faa exemptions or training. I only except cash, last month I pulled in an extra $2500.00. I could have made much more flying if it weren't for this damn full time job.

I charge 100 dollars for photos for home owners, all day jobs, 500 dollars. I buy 4 gb memory sticks in bulk from China for 2 bucks each, I put the clients photos and videos on the memory sticks and I give them too my clients. They print there own photos.

What I mean by all day is like weddings, I take shots outside the church then two hours later I take shots at the reception and so on. I might be there all day and only go through 2 batteries.
