I do not understand DJI !! I received my Phantom 3 Standard yesterday .. before hitting anything, plugged everything in to get it fully charged (good 2 hours) .. during that time, figured I sit and watch most of the tutorial videos.
Well, once I was comfortable .. put it all together .. now, I'm using a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7 edge for the DJI Go. So .. steps I followed:
1. Turned on RC
2. Connected SGS7edge via WiFi to PHANTOM
3. Turned on Drone (waited good minute)
4. Executed DJI Go
5. DJI Go connected, Camera highlighted (blue) to view, everything good
This is where the nightmare started .. DJI Go tells me to update the Firmware .. so, updated (I should have hit the FORUMS before doing this) .. 100% Completed .. reset all.
1. Turned on RC
2. Connected SGS7edge via WiFi to PHANTOM
3. Turned on Drone (waited good minute)
4. Executed DJI Go
5. DJI Go connected, Camera is no longer highlighted blue to view, stays grey and nothing
6. Drone is continuously fast flashing (I don't know if it even white or yellow) the rear lights on the blades and beeping !!!
7. RC light always red now .. will no longer switch to green !!! So this is telling me that the RC will not bind with the Drone !!!
I've had this damn thing 5 hours, hadn't even been able to get it outside to enjoy for a minute .. Not exactly the GREAT IMPRESSION you want to give a new customer DJI !!!
This thing is heading back to Best Buy today. |
