Found this to work great for viewing tablet in bright sun.
Had no problem with distance, went 1260 feet out and all went well.
Will being surounded by car have any bad effect?
Sitting was a bonus also.

As long as the aircraft is in front of you, you should be OK, could be a probelm if it flies behind you though. It will not affect your compass, because the compass is in the aircraft, not the RC unit.

Hello John, as Geebax says, the compass is in the drone. So when the drone is flying in the air away from your car, you car will not influence the drone's compass.

Thanks for the confirmation.
Got it no flying behind where the cars metal could compromise signal.
I was surprised how much the shade improved view on my IPad air2.
It even helped with line of sight view because over head shade!

You can do a simple search of this in our forum. I've seen some guys share their using experience in our forum.

It may affect the compass of your mobile device.

If you have the compass unlocked in the DJI GO app so that the map view and the 'radar' feature orient to North regardless of the orientation of the MD, you may notice a difference. The only way to know is try it near the vehicle and then away from ferrous metal.

If you lock the compass, you'll see no difference near ferrous metal or not.
