BLUF - I have no image on my DJI GO app, it will operate the camera and video, and will record to the SD Micro Card. However, no live image on the app. I've tried different USB cables, tried a Nexus 7 in addition to my Nexus 6P phone. What could be the problem?

So I finally got some time to unpack my new P3P which I bought in April. Set out to update the firmware, downloaded the latest firmware (01.09.0060), placed it in the root directory of a clean FAT32 microSD. Ran into some weirdness with a fail to update - after 15+ minutes on the aircraft. Checked the log text file on the SD card, said try again. So I tried again, immediately went into fail mode, tried to move back to a older firmware no luck. So I contacted DJI yesterday, spoke with a fellow named Marshall. He had me connect the DJI GO app to the remote and the APP showed the aircraft FW was at 01.09.0060. So he said regardless of the "fail message" the aircraft was good to go. He then walked me through updating the RC FW vis the DJI GO app to the latest version 1.60.

Here is the P3X_FW_RESULT_AB.txt in its entirety:

Result: Failed.
Reboot the aircraft and try to upgrade the firmware again.

During all this time, I was not seeing an image on the DJI Go app screen. I was focused on other things while on the phone with DJI's Marshall and didn't mention it to him. I thought I might not have removed the lens cap or something. So any suggestions?

Ouch... Another FPV issue with a Phantom 3. WHAT IS DII DOING? There are many, MANY posts of people not being able to see the FPV on their phone for the Phantom 3 Adv/Pro, and for the Phantom 3 Standard, a FPV disconnective issue. WHAT IS GOING ON, DJI? ARE YOU JUST TRYING TO GET PEOPLE TO BUY YOUR PHANTOM 4?

Ill get that im in the usa but most of the times will fix itself after a couple of minutes or I just reboot the controller in the Phantom and it works. Someone came up with the hypothesis that it's the ce version not working properly. No I have a friend that has taken his many hundreds of feet up and hundreds of feet out and still keep signal

Hello Tim, could you post the hidden upgrade log here, please?Here are the steps to find them:
1. Enable the option of viewing hidden files in your OS. Below are the websites where you can check how to show the hidden files in your PC.
For The Windows System:

For The Mac System:

2.Enter the root directory of the SD card, then find the hidden folder MISC and enter it. There is LOG folder in it.
3.The LOG txt file is under the LOG folder.

I have at this moment five phantom 3 pro with no signal problem. All of them were working perfectly till i has updated to the lastest firmware: 1.9.....

Now i downgraded to previous fw and the no signal problem continue. I dont know how to fix them. I tried everything, read every post or forum or video at youtube and nothing seems to work......

Any ideas?

Well dang, I had no idea there are/were hidden files. I just copied the visible log file onto my PC and formatted the SD card to attempt another upgrade. So it's likely gone, gone. (why do you hide them?)

Assuming it showed such an error what might be my options to remedy the problem?

This LOG file is under the hidden folder MISC so you need to change the system folder settings before you find it. I've shared the methods to show up the hidden files in #5.Give it a try.

Having the exact same issues. Brand new phantom 3 pro. Had the same failure problem updating but in the app it says it is updated. Also having the no image transmission signal issue. Can still fly and take photos/videos. Just can't see any image on the screen from it. My hidden logs look pretty much the same as yours with the device not detected. Hopefully there is a way to fix this without having to send it back to dji.

I'd suggest you to get in touch with our support via support@dji.com and send it in for diagnosis because there is something wrong with the image transmission system.

Just providing an update. After speaking with DJI tech support, we tried several things to remedy this issue, with no success. They issued me an RMA and a UPS shipping label. I've packed and shipped the P3P to them in California for repair. They claim a two-week turn-around after receipt with about 10 days for UPS ground to deliver the P3P to the DJI facility.

Hi!! Same to me.... but Im to far from US.....and its too expensive sending my aircrafts from Argentina to USA....
Besides that, Here the few DJI dealers have a very very bad after sales and they havent technical support...

Further update... After receiving my aircraft at DJI, one day later I received a request for payment ($313). I called and spoke with DJI, said they did not receive my proof of purchase, which was taped to the aircraft! I emailed them another copy, they said it would take a supervisor to back-out the payment request and approve the repair as warranty. It took three more calls and eventually speaking to a supervisor (Peter) and it has finally changed status from, "awaiting payment" to "repaired and tested". Still awaiting shipment. Now I hope it works when I finally get it back.

I updated it to the latest firmware and I have no image transmission. I was fucionando perfectly. The DJI asked to send the drone for technical assistance. But I live in Brazil and I will have to ship to the US, it is very expensive dispatch. Something around US $ 450. The DJI need help in another way. I am with my spoiled and stopped drone.

You can not afford such expensive equipment and have an after sales service  like this .....

How many of these are we going to have to see to realize something happens with the firmware being read by the Micro SD slot in the Video Transmission Unit on top of the gimbal?  That 0800 and 1500 device not found message means pretty much only one thing, and that is the Video Transmission Module is now corrupt.. and it seems to be happening more and more with FW upgrades going back to 1.7..  There logically has to be some connection between those those things.  :-(  I know DJI fixes it under warranty, but what good is that if the next FW upgrade does the same thing to a new Video Module?  I'd like to have GEO support, but what motivation is there to move with all these Video Modules becoming corrupted.  Those hidden log files are all showing the same thing.. 0800 and 1500 device not found.. and it's only happening after FW upgrades...  Just sayin'

I had the failure earlier today. I had aircraft control, telemetry ok, good HD and RC signals but no video and red bar.  Tried disconnecting/reconnecting the phone (S5), restarting the aircraft, then the RC. Also looked at the cables to the Gimbal, no change. Then closed and rebooted the App and got the video back.

Can you please contact the support center and start a ticket. http://www.dji.com/support
I will see if there's anything I can do. provide the hidden log file from the SD card, your proof of purchase, and some photos showing no damage has been done to the aircraft. Also sync your flight records.
After you start a ticket and supply all this information, have them let me know you've started a ticket (DJI-Ken) and I will see if there's anything that can be done.
