I am new to the drone world.  I received my new Phantom 2 Vison+ a couple weeks ago and I have been getting used to it before sending it in the air.

My question relates to controlling the camera pan with the roller control on the controller.  It operates the gimble to pan up and down; however, it does not stay in any position below horizontal as it slowly pans to the horizontal position when the roller is in the neutral position.  I tried calibrating several times but it doesn't fix the problem.

Also, I am unable to control the camera pan using my iPhone.

Any suggestions?  Thank you in advance.  I hope to do a test flight this weekend.

Kevin

This works for me after I initially calibrated in the RC setup.

Gerry1124 - Thanks for the response.  I tried this calibration and it didn't fix my problem.  Pan camera all the way down and it slowly moves back to horizontal position after about 15 seconds while the control knob is in neutral position.

Did you follow these instructions?  Did you calibrate the X! when you were connected to the RC program on your computer first? Your transmitter is not connected to the computer when you do this calibration..

It was not connected to my computer.  I went through the calibration according to the instructions and received the audible responses indicating that the calibration was successful.

I followed the instructions by moving both sticks to their travel limits and the camera wheel to maximum positions and returned to neutral.

Yes, extreme vertical limit (only moves pointing horizontal to straight down...no horizontal pan) and then it slowly returns to horizontal

When you calibrated it in the PT2 program, did you do both the "command stick calibration" and the "X1 calibration"?   Also did you have the upgrade version selected?

I have the vision + and the transmitter with the control wheel also.  I have version 3.6 PT2.  Below is an actual screen shot of pt2 with the Phantom connected.

I didn't have the RC tab selected.  I calibrated from that screen and it seems to be working now.  Thanks for working though this with me.  I really appreciate it.
