I've got the Pro 9.7. I've also used an iPad Air, a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet with my P4.
I haven't seen any difference as far as connectivity, but the Pro has a couple of advantages. The maximum screen brightness is 25% more than previous iPads and the glass has a better anti-reflective coating. This helps a bit when flying on bright days. Below are side by side shots I took of an iPad Air and a Pro 9.7.. They were taken under identical conditions. Look at the reflection of me taking the shot with my phone.

iPad Pro 9.7 is compatible but if you want to use the iPad Pro 12.9’, you may need to buy a 3rd-par ...
I have the 9.7 and im loving it! Future reference if u have other posters asking in the future, it seems more responsive, brighter and just all around has a better feel
I am using the pro 9.7 also. Tried the mini 4 but did not like the smaller screen size. Also got an adapter and tried my Pro 12.9, but that adds a lot of weight. Loved the extra large screen size but just seemed to be too heavy. So for the Pro 9.7 with an anti glare screen protector works great. The 9.7 also fits in the controller with the apple silicone case on the back and when I take it out of the controller the smart cover just snaps back on with its magnet for protection.
can anyone compare the android app to the ios app for me? When my friend got his p3 and used his iphone, i disliked his UI because i am so used to the android one, but i haven't tried both yet. Would someone who's used both offer their opinion on which is better?
I have used both, not sure I noticed much of a difference, but I have kinda stuck to My ipad now... my samsung tablet was too big, active 6s too small ( not really but), my ipad mini 2 is perfect size for me I think. Lay out is almost the same I think, didnt really notice much difference to be honest
