I keep getting these red dots in my photos (in the foreground) when I'm doing sunset shots.  I initially thought it was dust, but apparently it isn't.  Any ideas?

Zombies! RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!

No, really -- it looks like zombies.

Okay, seriously, I think you need to open a ticket with DJI. It looks like sensor anomalies. I've seen hot pixels before (what sensors can get when they are pushed in dark images such as yours), but that's a lot.

What's the ISO?

Good on you for catching so quick, within the BestBuy return period.

Let that be a lesson to all of other recent purchasers: go out and test the low-light quality of your images!

Still, didn't it look like Zombies?

This has been known to happen if you are shooting RAW photos, in the shadows of the picture.  DJI have a DNG cleaner software on the website which is supposed to clean up these stray pixels.  It is a known problem, which is why they have the software.  As to WHY it occurs or if can be fixed, I don't know. http://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/inspire_1/DJI_DNG_Cleaner_V1.1.exe

Mmmm - you sure it's not an invasion of fireflies?

Seriously though, you can get a similar effect in Photoshop when trying to brighten a dark image too much.
