I don't know if anyone else has had this issue, but my gimbal drops left after start up and auto calibration, I've tried doing the auto calibration several times, even after IMU and compass calibration. Any ideas?

Almost the exact same, including the overload warning, I'd left the transport lock on for maybe 10 seconds, Minnesota doesn't have the shudder like yours though, just a constant lean.
