Today, a large bird tried to attack my phantom.
I was able to quickly land the drone.
Who knows how to scare birds away from the drone?

Yes, you need to place large bloodshot eyeball stickers on your Phantom... Hahaha
That would be enough to scare me off too. Hehe

Yup, no bird's gonna attack an angry bird!
It will also add to your stealth ability when window peeping, lol

We have several eagle's nests close to where I live. I think the eagles meanwhile got used to my P3P and they behave like "live and let live". I keep a safe distance from them when they are around, and so do they from the drone. I am also pretty sure that they know that it is of human origin,  because I saw them watching my P3P taking off and landing while they were soaring over our house...
SO SOME KIND OF "SOFT ENCOUNTER" MIGHT DO THE TRICK.

Late spring and summer, if there is a nest around, nothing will keep the birds from buzzing your Phantom.
Better hope it's not an Eagle or a Hawk nest!

I have seen some customers put reflective wraps onto their units that are meant to deter birds away. That may be something to consider.

Maybe, but the flying cat would work best.

Gain altitude, birds cant fly straight up, they have to circle around and flap to gain altitude. While they are doing this, fly back.

Aloha vr,

This is the best approach.  All it takes is a little patience and observation.  Mahalo!

Aloha Kneepuck,

As usual, you are so bad!  Funny, but bad!  Bad Boy!  Who ever heard of flying cats - at least without flying dogs.
