At the moment my S5 doesn't seem to access the 4g network when connected to my phantom standard. Ho does the dji go app know if my phantom is up to date as when connected it cant access the internet. Other than a firmware upgrade the only thing i think i would be missing is google map on the screen.

Connect your Phantom to the S5 when you have wifi coverage. While you are connected, cache the map area you intend flying next. It's not a big deal if your firmware is out of date but having the map loaded is nice.
