c1 c2 screen shot

I am not able to pan the camera with the gimbal button on the left side of controller. I can only adjust the pitch up and down. I followed the instructions on page 37 of the user manual. Neither C1 or C2 will change the gimbal from pitch to yaw. The only way I can pan the camera is using the DJI go app holding my finger on screen and moving the blue circle . What am I doing wrong? Anyone else had this problem?

Can you post a screenshot of your C1 C2 settings.
If you have it setup up just like the manual as I and most do, you would use the tilt wheel and tilt the camera then press C1 and move the tilt wheel to pan. Then press C2 to reset the pan.

I posted a screen shot of the C1 and C2 settings. I can press C1 and C2 but I can only move the camera gimbal up and down. It never changes to yaw. The only way I can move the camera left and right is holding my finger on the screen and move it left and right.

What you have to do is select the drop down on either C1 or C2 (bottom right of the screen shot you posted) and change the setting to gimbal yaw/pitch. In the screen shot you posted, you haven't changed the setting yet, so the behavior you are experiencing thus far is normal.

I have my C1 button set to change gimbal yaw/pitch and my C2 button set to reset yaw so that I can quickly recenter the camera.

This is what I have set on mine, works just fine.  Right hand finger changes the function of the wheel at the top left from yaw to tilt.

The choices I have for C1 and C2 are Camera Setting, Camera Forward, Switch Gimbal Mode, Switch GS/FPV, Clear Flight Route. All the functions work except for Switch Gimbal Mode? When I select Switch Gimbal Mode it stays in pitch mode only can move the gimbal up and down with the gimbal wheel?

Hi there jim8. Here is the clue... When you open the C1 or C2 window you do not see all  the choices in that window, you have to scroll  up or down to se everything.

Only Pitch works until GoApp fired up.

I'm still not sure what the choice "Switch gimbal mode" does? I couldn't see any change when I selected that?

LOL that's the off position and it means you need to choose one of the options from the list
