Can the Phantom 4 take 4K video and 1080P?  1080P would better for sports?

Thank you.

Yes it can.

I took most of my videos 1080P 60fps because it is good enough quality for me, and the places I upload them only allow up to 1080P.

I think professional photographers use the higher setting though.

I have recently being using the 2.7K option though and I like it better when viewing the mp4 on my pc before it gets compressed online.

Aloha Kmorris,

PowerDVD plays 4K very well and has a zoom function while the video plays.  It does require some processor power though.  If your computer comes with PowerDVD, then it has that processor power.  You would be surprised how many computers come with PowerDVD.

Aloha kbrown,

4K at 30 frames per second works very well and you can take screenshots from the video to catch almost any frame of the millions of frames you shot - all in HD (and zoomable).  The 1080p at 60 frames per second or higher (up to 120 frames per second) makes for good slow motion.  Each setting has its advantages and disadvantages.  Hope this helps.

What computer are you trying to watch 4K video on?   If it's a 12 year old laptop, you're most likely going to have problems.  I've got an early version i7 computer and 4K comes out OK using Windows media player.

1080P at 120 frames results in slow motion video..  Plus the image is cropped about 47%.  The whole sensor isn't used.  So not only will it be in slow motion, but there will be a slight loss in image quality.

All the video modes (as well as other specifications) are listed here: https://www.dji.com/product/phantom-4/info
