whats the official word on the bad firmware update? is DJI working to correect the problem?

I have a P3S and do not have any problems.
So I'll bet they say the don't have a problem.

Is there any way to force reload the firmware, I wonder ?

The latest Standard firmware (1.6.8) came out 4 months ago.
If you have any issues and have following all the troubleshooting steps then please contact support and send the aircraft in for evaluation.
Call tomorrow AM 818-235-0789 and they will take care of you.

thank u...but the 1.6.8 makes your video laggy and then it looses connection..

Then why is mine working ?
P3S with about 2000 foot range stock, 4000 with new antennas.

I altso having diffrent problems like bad connection and range problems too.i can get really mad when you ask about a firmware is faulty and the standard answer fro dji people is always send your bird in for evaluations. LOL LOL just give us a new firmware so we can fly our birds.its not funny to pay for somthing who dont fly.before i bought the standard phantom 3 i had a phantom 2 v2 and there was newer a peoblem with this bird at all.good range and everything worked 100%

Try downgrading FM. Theres a post on here with a step by step giude. Worked for me

Again, if you are experiencing range issues and have gone through all the troubleshooting steps then send it in for warranty repair.
In 2 few weeks you'll have your aircraft back and don't have to have range issues anymore.

Just like "roymoon" said, not all P3S are having this issue. Mine got out between 500 to 1000m(over 1/2 mile) with stock antenna, and now with the DBS get out to 1700m (over 1 mile) so far on 1.6.8 FW. So it can't just be about FW, I'll grant you it could be a FW/hardware issue. Meaning that different drones might have different components (chips) that didn't agree with this latest FW. But's that's just a guess.

Something I have pondered.
These antennas have a wire running through them at the bend/swivel.
Wire does break if you bend it too many times.
Just saying . . .
