How bout the current samsung s7 issue for starters

not being smart but maybe the issue is with Samsung 7

they customize the android OS a lot
and probably something in newer features or functions broke the app..
wild  guess would be something in USB/charging area.

so so many issues with Samsung involved lately on this forum and phantompilots as well

2.9.1 is working on my NVidia k1 and Moto X pure android fine..
(as they have for 9 months at every update etc.)

Not really, rather, it would be nice to not have to guess what 'bug fixing' actually means...

as for samsung, the note7 flamethrower debockle, their s7 is of little use to the drone community, they ignore user base requests and support, yada, yada, yada.....

hmmmmmmm, apple cant make iphones 7's fast enough and IOS seem to be the only real supported platform from dji.

apple is taking more mobile market share by the minute which is great for the US.

I have a couple of Samsungs and they just do not work well with DJI GO (Video lag and breakup.).  They also self-run their battery down fast and likely because so much background stuff is running even in standby mode.  Wait until you get a pop-up ad mid-flight for some Samsung Pay and free Starbucks thing.  Really is a poor OS the way the bloated it, along with the carrier if it is tied to one too.  You really need to root the Samsungs or get an Android that is not bloatware heavy.  The S6 Edge needs a Mophie case that has a secondary battery in it so the phone will have a charge on it by end of day as it drains quick even if I don't use it.

I can look at the Samsung in the evening and it will show a 47% charge, while the Apple iPad Air 2 + cellular (T-mobile, but should have gone to Verizon as the rural coverage for flying is better in the West.) will show 97%.  Go figger.

but when apple updates do they spell out line by line all bug fixes etc.

why  is it good for the US that it appears apple is gaining share???

I was always under the impression that Apple is a US corporate entity...... makin lots a money on samsungs stupidity.

Samsung note 4 Android 6.0.1 workin Just fine here.  Also on my older s4 and s5.

Sadly it's not uncommon for software companies to NOT disclose the bugs they fix.
I suspect one reason is that they don't like to admit what was stuffed up - especially if it's major

Like the OP, I'm also interested to know what changes have been made.
I expect if DJI had come up with the fix for the S7 problem that would be newsworthy

suspect that  involves the fact newer devices have fast charge circuits in the usb ports now.
they did not exist in older models.

Not uncommon?
I work as programmer and we do a lot of changes in the code. When we change some algorithms or other part of code that does not touch a feature, only internal functions/code, then I don't think the company has to disclose the changes.

VPS can be turn off now !
