So I have this card and it says invalid. What could be the issue?

I don't have the original card.  I just bought this new one and it will not work.  It says "utilizing card" for a few seconds and then says "Invalid sd card" "Please replace"    I can't format it or anything.

It might be junk?
How does it read in your computer?

Read fine on my PC. I even formatted it there.
This is the second card. I took one back to the shop thinking it was the card but I'm having the same issue with the new card.
I'll try a different brand's card tomorrow.
By the specs in the link, shouldn't this card work? Am I missing something?

Maybe it's the compatibility issue, i will provide you a list, hope that helps:
a.Lexar 633X Class10 16 GB MicroSDHC UHS-I SD card;
b.Panasonic 16 GB MicroSDHC UHS-3 SD card;
c.Sandisk Extreme 16 GB MicroSDHC UHS-3 SD card;
It should be above Class 10 or UHS-1.

im like 85% sure i know whats wrong. Have you tried formatting the card while its IN the drone? I had this issue for a while and even when i formatted on my computer to Fat-32 or whatever the correct format is, it would still say invalid sd card. That was, up until i reformatted from the go app while the sd card was in the drone. give it a try if you haven't already.

That's the first thing I wanted to do but....   It won't let me format within the app.  I get the invalid card warning and when i go to format it it says it can't.

Are there just some cards that won't work in the DJI cameras?

Yes, the specs are correct, but there are dodgy cards out there. Try a Sandisk Extreme series and you should be OK.

So I just tried again.

Turned on the drone
I see the sd initializing
Then is says " SD card error, please replace it" with the (invalid sd card) in red.
I go to camera settings and hit format sd card
I get formatting failed "SD error, please replace it."

Works fine on my PC.

Like I said before, I return one sd card of the same kind when this problem happened thinking it could be a bad card.  But the same thing with the new card.  Why isn't this sd card compatible? (please see like above to refer to the card I'm talking about)

Instead of trying to solve the unsolvable (why isn't this card compatible) just get a different card.
Most SD cards that meet DJI's specs will work just fine.
I've used 7 different brands in mine without problem.

Thanks man!  That's helpful.  I don't want to pay a bunch of money on SD cards to find out they don't work.  I understand there are ones people use without issues but shouldn't there be a list of compatible cards?  Trying to help the next here as well.
All we have is make sure it's a "Class 10".  which isn't true

You're making it more complicated than it needs to be.
Almost all cards that fit DJI's specs do work.
You got a dud.
Go and buy a different brand - it doesn't matter which.

Not every brand of SD card has been tested and as Geebax mentioned, the specs on the card may also not be fully correct. Ultimately, it's recommended to try a different SD card. Natalia's list has the most common and best performing ones tested thus far with this series.
