Had a crash and everything seemed to be alright the gimble goes through the boot up cycle however after about 30 seconds I can no longer control the gimble.  Can anyone give me any insight into how to fix this problem.

Did any dirt or debris get in the plural spaces of the Gimbal Motors, you could take a little compressed air and try to blow it out.  More than likely will need to go in , the gimbal motors were probably over extended and something broke internally.

Be sure to do a gimabal calibration as well, cant hurt and at least worth a try.

You may have to do Like DJI Natalia advise's , I would swear her Picture  looks alot like Scarlet JoHansen ......

No dirt, and re-calibrating did not work, I think you are right about the motor.  It will probably be cheaper to buy a new one rather than pay for repairs.

From what I can tell the motor is not functioning.  Would it be cheaper to have it fixed or to buy a new one?

It's recommended to get it evaluated firstly by DJI authorized repair center, we'd help you deal with the case properly.

I would send it in and ask for a repair estimate, if the repair estimate  is over 200 dollars then I would just buy a new one.  E bay sometimes has them for sale from members who update to the X5 or other reason for reasonable prices.
