Hello,

If I buy a Mavic drone, it will be covered by a one year warranty in France.
This warranty is included in the price of the drone.
So, if something fails, I will not pay for a repair (except shipment)

Of course, if I crash my drone, I'll have to pay for a repair.
I suppose that in this case, the DJI Care plan can be interesting.
Some of us are able to diagnose/repair ourselves  broken things.
I cannot find right now a spare parts list with prices.
This kind of information would help us choosing or not a care plan.

By  the way, I'm still using a PV2+ V3 - It's Wifi module (new model) failed  last year. Many Phantom 2 users had a wifi failure. This could be considered  as a manufacturing problem. Hidden problems are covered by the product's  warranty, even after the legal one expires.

No need to buy a  Mavic, I will wait December the 24th to get one for free (I'm joking),  because at this time, a new firmware will probably be available (as  usual nowadays) to correct software bugs.

Right now, I do not know if a care plan is for me or not, and I've got time to decide !

Warranty will cover anything that is the fault of manufacturing by dji for 12 months, dji care covers accidental damage ,cover includes new or refurbished as new for up to 2 Mavic drones in 12 month period, replacement for first Mavic will cost you €119 for second drone will cost you €149, this also includes collect and delivery cost.
It looks like a good peace of mind option,
