Check out my greatest success color grading my Phantom 4 and Osmo footage from Broad Beach in California.

This is all shot in D-Log, and the Phantom 4 turned down to: -3 contrast, -2 saturation, -3 sharpness.

I suggest you experiment with normal MPEG shots for a while, you seem to have dialed everything down too far. In various places it is too under-saturated, too thin, under-exposed....

The sharpness seems okay but maybe saturation.. I usually don't have to add too much contrast in post.

It's a nice video thanks for sharing. I would agree that the saturation could be a little higher.

Yes, you have to be careful with sharpness, only as much as necessary, because if you increase it too much, the file size goes up alarmingly. But one of the things you need to come to grips with is exposure, because unless it is exposed correctly, you cannot do much with a Dlog file.

Most of the footage was perfectly exposed, because I used an ND-8 and 16 for this one. What parts were you thinking? Besides for when I was flying into the sun?

The opening downward shot is one that comes to mind, it could have been exposed a bit more. Just a suggestion, read up on the histogram tool, it helps a lot in getting the correct exposure. And also a technique called Expose To The Right, or ETTR.
