Tahoe Ed has said no to this, but he also admits he has no insider knowledge from the business or marketing teams. So ultimately he doesn't know.

The truth is that the trademark applications are still pending, have not been awarded yet, so to adamantly say this is not the cause of the delay is wrong. Slim chance, but still possible.

I don't think I would ever order directly from DJI unless in stock and I do not see why BestBuy US will be faster, products come from China deliver to Canada all the time.

If you are from Canada, You should always order from DJI Site to save taxes as the duties are already included in the price !!! Also Free shipping !!

Make sure to use 0% Foreign transaction credit card ( Amazon Chase VISA or Rogers Master Card ) to take full advantage !!!

This is an interesting article, thanks. Never think another company couldn't come along, DJI is definitely leading the way now but anything could happen! I don't think anyone ever thought Samsung would build a phone that catches fire, losing 17 billion and customer faith, part of the reason was that they handled the problem so poorly. I don't own any Apple products because I don't like their software and locked hardware but they have great customer service.

I know, but they take your money before they ship your product, haven't you read the complaints? I would already see a bill for a product I don't have. With my pre-order I saved almost all the tax and got free shipping.

I'm guessing if nothing is wrong with the device then a delivery time of around November sounds legit.

I think it's safe to assume that October delivery is probably not happening.

I just hope things aren't pushed back into 2017.

Must say this is pretty unprofessional with the lack of info, but give it till end of week guys. If detailed information is not provide, then cancel away. No point of coming up with theories and trying to figure out what's going on. That is DJI responsibility, not yours...

Our trusted distributer spoke about 300+ for their store. No idea for the rest of the country. Mine was ordered on 01 Oct, I hope they still ship it on time, cause I'm off to Thailand on 08/11 for 2 months. According to their explanation + last email, there is still a chance. Therein lies the question. Without any official and real information from DJI, no one can tell you what's best.

It would appear that DJI are no longer responding to customer service emails either. I am actually starting to become very concerned that I'll ever see anything for my money. A delay I can accept. It's the complete lack of information that I cannot.

I think some one needs to get hold of Fank Wang email or facebook and put him in his place with out us he is NOTHING!

Woah woah woah, back up there buddy! Why is it rude? Most consumer tech companies outsource. I manage a large outsourced team for a well known consumer electronics company, there's no shame in outsourcing, they do a great job.

I still can't believe people are still posting links to websites that say delivery by 'x' date thinking they are gonna get it. Even suggesting cancelling their order directly with DJI and ordering else where haha. If they had a date then the people that ordered directly from DJI would have a date. At the moment we know nothing. So therefore any website retailer saying you get it by this date either haven't updated their website or they're just straight up lying. You think retailers that have to receive it like us, then send it out again to the customer, just being the middle man are gonna get it to you before DJI get it directly to you? No. Stop dreaming.

I've stopped caring now. I'm checking here every day for an update, other than that I'm giving it until a set date in November to hear about a dispatch and if not then I'm cancelling.

No Info, no updates, lost cash, no product... how can we not be worried.

How about:  A couple of hundred drone buyers acting like three-year olds over a delivery delay.

I posted this on facebook but unfortunately they get to review all FB posts before sharing it. I also shared it publicly and suggest everyone start doing this until we get a straight answer from them.
