Wow, 1.2 miles. That's impressive

i fly my phantom 4 with normal remote upto 3500 meters without any problem cause then i only get 20% battery left when  to land

I am always flying with the signal going through trees, so the farthest i have gone without losing signal is about .75 miles (~4000 feet or ~1300 meters).  I have lost contact at less then a quarter of that if "looking" through power lines or dence pine trees.  That is why i like Litchi.  A way point mission flies with or without contact.  Just be sure your altitudes are correct and the last waypoint is close to your home point.

The distance aircraft reaches is related to the environment where you fly. Please choose an open place without interference and adjust antennas to the optimal range all the time during flight.
And on the APP, you could disable "Distance limited".
In addition, if beginner mode is enabled, the distance will be 30 meters.
