With Phantom 3 Advanced and in flight, I head switching to ATTI mode. The drone starts to drift in the wind. Why does this switch on its own?

Did you switch manually or the drone did it?
If the drone loses GPS signal or there was a compass error it switches to ATTI mode

It switches automatically by the drone. Don't know why it would lose GPS that often. It was about 100 feet up on a bright sunny day near Detroit.
I owned the Phantom 2 Vision prior to the P3A and never had any issues with it.
This P3A won't hover as accurately. I guess I need more flight time.

I really don't know what is causing it to lose signal so often
I also sometimes experience GPS signal loss on P3Pro but it rarely happens

It could be something else
Maybe Compass error
But you would see it in-app if there was an error
