My order changed status to Shipped when I look in the My Orders section. When I check the order tracking it's still pending, but DHL has been marked as the shipping company. So it looks like something is moving! My order date is October 3rd.

No. No bundle. Just normal Mavic.

I have the bundle and it was shipped. I should get it by Friday by Fedex. That metric thing you have there isn't really useful. Hobbie media seems to be shipping now as they have their items in.

This thread is confusing. Does it relate to 2 separate firmware releases? If so, wouldn't it be better to have a separate thread for each release. There seem to be 16 pages of comments on the first release before you get to the second one.

There are 2 firmware releases one from 10/23 and one today,  how is that confusing? But yes 2 threads are always better than one.

If this firmware update addresses everything it says, this is HUGE news for all of us!

I found it confusing because you click on the thread to read about a firmware update that was release today but it has 16 pages of posts that have nothing specifically to do with this firmware update. Sure, you can just click to the last page, but why not just start another thread. If you want to read this thread a week from now it will be difficult for forum members to find, "what page do the posts start talking about the current firmware update?"

Wish people would stop moaning about everything. Does it really matter. Jeez

It would appear that the latest firmware update impacts the connection of the lower USB port.

I usually complete the updates via this port and an iPad rather than the side port in the handle. During this particular update the update hung at the 99% mark in the status bar and gave the message that the app had lost connection with the controller. I restarted the controller and Mavic and still "not connected". I put the iPhone in the holder - it connected and then prompted with "Update Complete".  However, still no connection via the alternate USB port on the bottom of the controller. I have restarted both devices, the app, swapped USB cables and tried three different IOS devices. So it appears as the DJI Go App completes the installation of the new firmware the connection is lost.

I'd like to thank everyone who's received their Mavic Pro early for beta-testing. It means a lot. You guys are making things so that when the rest of us do actually receive our Mavic Pro drones, they'll probably be flying perfectly thanks to bugs being found and firmware updates being released to fix issues. Enjoy your Mavic Pro drones if you do receive one soon.

I have this exact same issue. I spoke to support and they seemed to be aware of it. Or maybe not. They told me that the developers would look at it and issue a patch in the future.

Nice, finally a second update!

I just did some testing and:

Cable connected to either lower or right side connectors and connected to a tablet (Samsung Tab S2) does NOT work
Cable connected to either lower or right side connectors and connected to a phone (Samsung S7) does work

so it looks like they have broken tablet support, seriously hope this is not by design

Downgrading to the older version :-(

Hi,

is the update working for anyone on macOS? I have the latest version of the DJI Assistent downloaded. The remote and the Mavic are connecting to the Assistent and I see the new firmware update. After clicking on Update the firmware is downloaded. But than it stays at 0% and it fails all the time with "Update Failed." I tried on my iMac and MBP same result. I switched the USB cable - same result. It has to be installed via the Assistent as I understand it. It's not possible via the DJI GO App.  So was anybody able to install the update?

Update: I got it now working via Windows on VirtualBox after some configuration hassle. RC and Mavic are now on the new firmware. I had no time to fly it yet, but will do as soon the weather allows me to do it.

Update2: I noted that the external USB for connecting a tablet isn't working anymore. Is this by intention or by fault? I hope the latter otherwise it would be a major drawback!
Got it working now by removing the cable from the other port.

I presume this isn't a firmware update, and is more of a 'latest firmware release'?  I can't find any information on whether we should be updating with all the firmware releases as they came out chronologically - or if we can simply implement the latest firmware release?

Tablets. I have a ASUA Zenpad 8 Z380M-A2-RG tablet.  Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)
The new firmware supports Android 4.1.2 or later. My question is will my Tablet work on the side or bottom
USB port.

There are meany IOS and Android devises out there and I don't think that DJI is going to test each one.
So that means plug in (to side or bottom) what ever phone or tablet you have and hop it will work.

No, that not what it means.
I asked if unplugging the side cable made any difference.
Then I said I am updating a few Mavics and will test both IOS and Android and report my findings.
So what gave you the idea that I meant plug in whatever device and hope it works ?

Does anyone know if there DJI assistant 2 is down for maintenance or if there are any issues at the moment? I just received my Mavic Pro today and i followed the instructions in this video to the T but when i click on 'firmware update' it will not list the updates, just a message stating 'Cannot Load Firmware List, Please Retry' , even when i hit retry it goes right back the same screen and only give me the option of 'Factory Reset'..any feedback is appreciated.

I'm sorry there is so much confusion on the USB ports. I think most of us know you cant use both ports at the same time. Or are you saying that you can't have a cable plugged in to the side usb even if it is not
connected to anything. wiall using the bottom usb plug for a phone or tablet. and vic versa.
I don't wan't to confuse anyone.

Not sure, you can update from the app as well.
