Question about charging battery. Going out to fly, battery is at 83%. Is it ok to charge it full to 100% so I'll be starting with a full charge. Or will topping off hurt the battery. I know on the toy version drones you were supposed to drain the battery before charging. What's the case with these bigger batteries?

Old post I have never seen. Thanks, it answered more questions than I knew I had. Good learning tool and should be available for battery care where everyone can see it.

Nothing wrong with topping off your battery, really it's the right thing to do. Going with a fully charged battery is ALWAYS better. You don't have to drain the battery on every charge.

One caveat to that post, it says if left more than 24 hours to discharge to 90% and then top up. The battery can be triggered to do a top up charge by switching it on while connected to charger. So for example if battery was showing 97%, then no need to take it down to the 90% threshold; just switch it on when connected to charger and it will top up from 97-100%.
