In our summer camp we were able to rent a Phantom 4 drone to film some scenes for our martial arts music video (can be seen here: ) and were highly impressed. Thus we had to buy our own Phantom 4 drone. Our Swiss team took it along to the US to test it thoroughly for video footage of the martial arts event in Pennsylvania. The attending stars, like Cynthia Rothrock and Art Camacho were also amazed about the quality of the videos. Good job, DJI!
However, we tried to fly the drone with only 8 satellites. Given it was a windy day, but is there a trick to fly the P4 in such circumstances? Is there a special setting that should be chosen to prevent a crash? (Yes, the drone drifted into a tree and fell from there. Crash. Although the frame is bent, the P4 still flies. Amazing and reliable technology!)
Pretty cool video, enjoy it so much, great job!
GPS signal is very important for flight, please fly in an environment with 10 satellites or above, then signal strength should be at least 4. It's not recommended to fly it with strong wind.
Please keep an eye on the APP and control it with the remote properly to avoid crashing.
Besides, it's lucky no damage caused by when it hit the tree and feel down. While it's suggested to get it evaluated firstly to make sure it's safe to fly.
To be getting onl;y 8 satellites, it sounds like the Phantom's view of the sky was blocked by buildings, trees etc.
If you fly in the open you'll always have many more sats than that.
