Very informative. Thanks much. Is that a full size tablet?  I have the iPad Air as well as a 6S . Didn't expect to be able to use a tablet.
I ordered the Mavic in mid October and it appears I'm in for a wait. Trying learn whatever I can while waiting it out

Great video .. Thanks for info. How long  is the shorty cable??? I'm going to pick one up before mavic gets here , but they come in 6",7",12"  and just confirm that's standard usb on RC side?

I'm not sure think its the Ipad mini, it just a video I found on you tube thought it might help people out.

That was very helpful, much appreciated! Now, hopefylly, I'll no longer misidentify targets as I did on my iphone screen out in the bright sunlight!

Late reply and I'm sure you've already figured it out by now. But in case anyone else has the same question.
The side RC USB is not standard and is a USB C. The bottom is a standard USB port and as of the most recent firmware, if you use the bottom it will not work until you unplug the side.

I'm using the Mini 2 and it is a tight fit.  No way a full size iPad is going in there.  I'm using the cord in the link below.  Just take the screws our of the plastic and the cord is the perfect length with 90 degree connections at both ends.
