My osmo mobile keeps showing device error reboot osmo mobile msg... as soon as I connect and move device it shows this msg and phone just turn upside down when I double tap it it moves  phone into right position hangs there for second or two and then goes in upside down position again and shows the error msg. iPhone 6

Have you tried to reboot OSMO mobile? If the gimbal is not started properly, or you rotate gimbal too hard after starting it, or the gimbal gets stuck during rotating, then the message will pop out.
Please double check it, if still the same case, would you please make a short video for further evaluation?
