Hello everybody, 1st post here. Ive been reading alot on the forum about the extremely short range issue on firmware 1.8.60 and I think ive noticed a pattern. My hopes with this thread is to confirm this pattern. It seems like everybody within the US running in FCC mode has no issues, everybody outside the US running in CE mode seems to have really bad issues with range and video disconnecting right after takeoff. So I ask you P3S owners 3 questions.
1. US or outside US?
2. What firmware are you running?
3. Are you having any issues

Used downgrade method to 1.5.7 and this help, but after go app update to 3.0 iv got app stuck issue until I upgraded again to 1.6.8

3. Yes, I had the issue and had to downgrade.

So far this pattern shows true. Keep this going, ill update on my situation when my p3s comes in the mail, I live in the us.

Never gone farther than 250mt (CE Limit is 500mt).
Always lost signal before video.
All systems to the last version. iOS and android.
Can't really says if it's the issue, 'cause I upgraded right out of the box.

But I have had a good run out to 310m and at 62m max high ... but that was once. All other flights - I lose video very early on, sometimes before take-off.

So new firmware beta doesn't solve this problem? Maybe that's why there still no release

Dont even think about any FW after 1.06.08 ... or you will end like mine - stuck with it and unable to get rid of it !!

I cannot downgrade at all ... not even to 1.06.08.

Yes - its total garbage ...

P3s  1.6.8  USA   NO problems with range whatsoever.

I just ordered a dbs mod to see what it can do.

I am in Colombia. When I bought my DJI PHANTOM 3 STANDARD one month ago, I reached a distance of 600 Meters and an altitude of 450 Meters, but since 2 weeks ago I just could reached a distance of 130 Meters and an altitude of 110 Meters, and SIGNAL LOST and GO HOME. I checked DJI GO APP and BEGINNER MODE is DISABLE, MAXIMUM ALTITUDE is 400 METERS and DISTANCE LIMIT is DISABLE. My drone is on PERFECT CONDITIONS, I never have crashed and the FIRMWARE is UPDATED. So someboby could let me know what is happening.

i have same problem. i tried downgrade to 1.6.8, i got 500 with some problem but over that it RTH. then i upgrade to 1.7.9 and i just get 250 then it RTH. i used IPHONE 6 with dji go 3.02.. some says me to try upgrade with different phone. i will, i hope it will fix

Same flight area as before - over 600m distance, over 50m altitude - lost video but control still string. Did RTH.

I think I need to change display to keep video signal .... I did downgrade Go App to 2.9.1 as the 3.0.1 wouldn't link to my display.

I did notice a peculiarity - with Windsurfer fitted - I lost connection to phone when it was sitting behind the foil, took phone of holder and put in front of WS - it immediately reconnected ! It did it a couple of times - then I moved holder so display wasn't so far behind WS.

I have Argtek system coming - so hope that cures all this along with the Nexus 7.
