Hi All,

just managed to land my Mavic real hard, had forgotten that 'downward sensors' were OFF.
Anyway, the gimbal seems to have popped out of the base clamp, doesn't look like there's any damage
but thought I'd ask around before doing more damage to it.

Anyone, much appreciated.

Sorry to hear about that. When turn it on, it can calibrate normally or not? any error messages pops out on the APP?
Would you please take a picture showing that gimbal pops out of the base clamp?

That would be best to send it in for further evaluation then get it fixed by our engineers. Hope everything is fine.

this is concerning, how hard was the landing? did the gimbal got bumped somewhere or it came off on it's own with the impact?

Misjudging a landing without downward vision system active is pretty likely to break something. A quick look at the manual will tell you the Mavic is capable of descending at 3 m/s or 600 feet per minute.  If you disable the downward Vision system then forget to flare the aircraft prior to touchdown, it will hit the ground at 600 fpm  and I would expect things to break!  Hope it is a straight forward repair for you.

Haha, yeah not sure of the closure rates but the landing was hard enuff to shear the metal baseplate/gimbal attachment.  
Gimbal is fine, talking with support (yawn) for next course of action

addition to that, the gimbal sheared the metal baseplate so now the gimbal is hanging by it's wires only LOL

would love to see some higher res pictures, more closeups to see what broke.
