I loaded up the simulator for my P3S in DJI Go 3.0.1 on my Nexus 7 (2013) and the frame rate is very poor, like 5 frames per second or so. It used to run nice and smooth back on version 2.8.? but I hadn't used it for a while so I'm not sure if the problem started in 2.9 or 3.

Have you tried different android devices with V3.0.1 APP? I have tested on my phone, there is no issue about the frame rate.
Please try to delete the APP, re-install it and check again, if still the same case, you could upload a short video for further evaluation.

I have a Galaxy S7 and the video works fine 4 gig of RAM 2.5ghz quad-core 64-bit. Yours has 2 gig of RAM 1.5 GHz processor and 32 bit

I do not have another device to test it on. Uninstalling and reinstalling 3.0.1 had no effect. Here is a video showing the simulator in 2.8.4 and 3.0.1 (I apologize for the terrible quality, I don't have another better device to record video) :

In 2.8.4 everything runs fine, but in 3.0.1 the frame rate is very low, even the low battery warning on the top runs choppy.

Just to clarify, do you have USB debugging enabled or disabled?

This is with a P3 Standard, there's no USB connection, just wifi.

Same problem with the just released DJI Go 3.1.0
