Recently have have started to experience video issues at close range, less than 100 metres.  The video gets jittery, goes partly green & pixelated.  I suspect that I have a bad combination of software & firmware.  My versions are:

iPad Mini 4 - IOS 9.3.5 (data via Hotspot to iPhone)
DJI Go app 3.0.2
Phantom 4 firmware 01.02.0602- (very recent update)
Remote 1.8.0

I have HD set to "Auto".
I'm flying in areas that I have used many times before.

Can anyone suggest why I'm seeing this behaviour for the first time?
Should I update everying to the lastest version?
Thanks.

Did you enable the hardware decoding in DJI GO app?
Also please ensure that you do not have any programs running in the background.
You could try to update the DJI GO app to latest version 3.1.0.

I just checked and Enable Hardware Decoding is set to ON.  Should this be OFF?

No it should be on. You could always try a full backup of your device to your computer using iTunes. Then install latest version of DJI Go. Should you want to revert then you could reset your device and install newly made backup.
If that fails then you could roll back the RC to V1.6, reset and relink to the aircraft.

I'll be interested to see if it fixes your issue. I'm having the same issue after the latest updates and I'm running 3.1.0 on an ipad mini.

With all the dropouts/complete screen going green to the display I'm very concerned about flying my P4.

Hmmm, this morning, before I changed anything I took another flight as a benchmark.  Apart from one or two flickers the video was solid.  I took another flight in exactly the same location as yesterday and again, the video was solid.  I changed nothing.  The only thing I did was set Enable Hardware Decoding to OFF and then back to ON. Very odd!!!

What's the IOS system of your iPad mini?
You have green image transmission after APP updating, right?
Have you tried to delete it then reinstall?
Please do troubleshooting mentioned here and check the performance.

It seems interesting, glad to hear it's solid now!
Enjoy it and let us know for any further questions.

An update.  Today I noticed that the DJO Go app is version 3.1.0, I must have inadvertently updated it when I backed up the iPad.  This now makes sense of the whole situation.  My apologies for the misinformation.  Anyway, under 3.1.0 the video is solid, so I can say with confidence that this made the difference for me.  Thanks Aardvark & DJI Mindy.  But this does not help you Numptee Nuts.

Im in the same boat as numptee too. Soo dangerous to fly with terrible feedback. Recorded video from sd card is fine though.
