I currently have a p3 standard but for some reason I can't get it to start up I've flown it plenty of times with no incidents but when I put the charged battery in and hold the button the battery level shows then the red light flashes and shuts off

Any help would be appreciated

Yes, here's another drone pilot, that forgot the double click and hold sequence of the drone and RC on-off function.

When you press just once, the battery will only show you, its relative charge. But not turn on.
Thar's the way these intelligent DJI battery packs are built, with a tiny micro chip, or circuit board, that has been programmed.
It's the same sequence to shut down, double click, hold for a couple of three seconds and off she goes...

But like computers, they can only be as smart as the operator. ;-)
