I won't be doing this again, but I'm still pretty confident in the actions that took place here. I shared this on a Mavic FB group and some folks had mixed opinions, so i posted this updated vid description -

I appreciate those who have provided constructive feedback regarding a potential danger this flight posed. I understand there was a risk, albeit a small one, to those in the room. My stick movements were small, linear, and very deliberate. I didn't even make those movements until I was confident in the initial stability after takeoff. Also, I moved that chair at the very end and landed on the ground away from everyone, just for extra precaution.
While not everybody will agree with the action I took here by taking off near other humans, I think we can all agree & marvel in the positioning technology added to the Mavic which enables type of flight behavior.

I think people are over-reacting, personally I don't see a safety issue here.

Except maybe make everyone put on safety glasses, hahah
