Can I use the same controler from my P4 on the P4P?

No Guntert, the controller for P4 is incompatible with P4P. They are not exchangeable.

Are there any advantages to use the MiniIpad as the controller for the P4P rather than the controller that you can purchase with the Pro?  I will be upgrading to the Pro model but just curious about the controller configuration.  Thanks

It depends on whether or not you wish to expand your FPV screen and whether you do not wish to worry about a mobile device's battery life.

Video latency will be slower as well with added processing demands. May be useful for 'Osmo' like operations where the drone is used as a stabilised camera like an Osmo. In fact, DJI should provide access to audio recording in this mode as it does for the Osmo.

I believe the RC with the built in screen does include audio recording at the controller. I saw a YouTube video where the person mentioned recording audio notes with it to help him remember various settings or what he was trying to achieve with each shot.

Someone please correct me if I'm misremembering.

I know it has a microphone on top of the monitor, from the ops manual. how good it is I don't know, but I do want to try that. good idea to use it to record your settings !
