i have tried many times to link my RC to my Drone with lots of waiting still no luck i have waited many times for up to 45minutes

is this normal?

Could you please clarify which Phantom model you have?
Is the firmware update to date on the aircraft and RC?

i have a phantom 3 Standard

And i was told to believe that you can only update the firmware on the drone and only via WIFI

Yes, for P3S, you can only do the update via DJI GO app.
Did this happened after the update?

i am unable to do the update as non of my many devices are able to detect my P3S controller VIA WIFI

Have you tried to reset the WIFI ?
And what mobile device you are using?

I have tried a WIFI reset i believe but if you could refresh me on how to do it that would be good


Devices i have tried- Iphone 5s Ipad4 Iphone6+ Andriod 1+1

if a replacement drone is available should I get it replaced?

Our engineers will help you evaluate it firstly when you send it in.
If it's not covered by replacement service, you will not get it replaced, sorry for that.

It will not take a long time.
You have tried that for several time but still cannot find the phantom WiFi signal, right?
If so, it needs to be sent in for evaluation.

Are you having the same issue as the poster on this thread.
Can you see the Phantom XXX WiFi in your list but when you connect it says "No Internet Connection" when connected?, because that is normal.

press the link button on drone till it lites red, pressand hold c1, c2, recordwhile holding those press the right side dial in on transmitter it will then beep and go to link mode, easy peasy
